Official opening of JKR’s Research Lab @ SLINTEC Science Park!

The official opening of the Research Laboratory of John Keells Research the R & D and Innovation arm of John Keells Holdings PLC was held on Wednesday the 31st of May 2017.

This facility is located at the Technology Incubation Center Building at the Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) & Science Park in Mahenwatta, Pitipana, Homagama.

Chairman Mr. Susantha Ratnayake and members of the senior management of JKH were in attendance along with Mr. Harin de S Wijeyerathne, CEO of the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology.

Mr. Harin de S Wijeyerathne presented details about SLINTEC which manages the Nanotechnology and Science Park and is a public-private partnership between the Sri Lankan Government and major players in the private sector, namely MAS Holdings, Brandix, Dialog, Hayleys, Loadstar and Lankem.

The invitees were taken on a tour of the Science park by SLINTEC representatives, to highlight the facilities available and The JKR Team conducted a 3D Printing demo.
